A Question for the Candidates

A reported six million questions for the presidential candidates have been submitted to Tom Brokaw, the moderator of tonight's town hall style debate.

They might not get to mine.

So here is one question I'd like to hear the candidates answer:

Home health aides, retail salespeople, food service workers, and janitorial staff are projected to be among the fastest-growing occupations in the U.S. over the next decade. What role should public policy play in ensuring that the millions of Americans who will work in these jobs – and others that don’t require a college degree – have a decent standard of living? What specific policies would you implement to support these workers?
