Amber Sparks is the Online Coordinator of Grocery Workers United (www.groceryworkersunited.org), the national bargaining campaign of the United Food and Commercial Workers Union. The campaign seeks to unite over 400,000 UFCW grocery workers across North America whose contracts are up for negotiation in '06 and '07, in order to bargain more effectively with national and international corporations like Kroger, Safeway, Ahold, and Supervalu. The United Food and Commercial Workers Union represents 1.4 million workers in the retail food industry throughout the U.S. and Canada.
