Rich Benjamin

Having worked in grassroots youth organizing in California, for two senate campaigns, and for a presidential campaign, Rich is glad to have joined the Drum Major Institute as Director of Partnerships. In 2004, he spent a good chunk of time and effort involving young people in the Democratic and Republican conventions in Boston and New York City. His articles on politics and culture have appeared in publications nationally. Apart from coordinating this grassroots effort, Rich is Senior Fellow at Demos, a non-partisan network of ideas and action. He earned a BA in American government from Wesleyan University and a PhD in Modern Thought from Stanford University.
